This sequel follows on from the excellent disc issued in 2001, reviewed elsewhere. In no way does it fall short of the standard set in Accentus' earlier CD, this mixed voice choir singing with unimaginable precision and artistry as they bring out all the verbal and musical nuances of these excellent arrangements.

The first piece, Vivaldi's 'Winter' fully explores their artistry; one can feel as well hear the shivers of the Venetians huddling in the cold damp air hanging over their canals. My favourite tracks are the third, a setting of Prokofiev's 'Field of the Dead' and the fourteenth and fifteenth, from Ravel's 'Sheherezade', all of which feature the crystalline voice of Solange Anorga in performances of sheer magic.

Why not get both CDs while you are about it? If you like the human voice, you won't regret it.
