TRAGEDY "Tragedy" LP

TARGEDY to najbardziej odkrywcze i twórcze zjawisko w najnowszej generacji zespołów punkowych. Zespół nie jest stary ( w porównaniu do innych dinozaurów sceny punkowej oczywiście i oczywiście nie mam tu na myśli drogi muzycznej członków Tragedy) z już stał się kultowy i juz dorobił sie legionów epigonów. Albowiem modne już stało się określenie "muza po lini Tragedy" w okersleniu do wielu innych kapel. Nikomu jednak nie udało się z taka wirtuozją połaczyć mroków amebix z echami punka77, d-beatowego bicia perki z melodią gitar, ciężkości walca z nostalgicznymi rifami, no i wokal - crustowo zdarty ale wciąż spiewający... Wiele kapel w historii punk rocka odcisneło swe wyrazne piętno, wiele wyznaczyło zwrot w nowe tory.. i TRAGEDY jest własnie takim zjawiskiem...

 "This shit rips. Thrashy hardcore punk with melodic guitar lines, throaty vocals, 'D-Beat' drums. There's really not much more to say; if you're into other bands of this genre (Discharge, His Hero Is Gone, From Ashes Rise, Wolrd Burns To Death, etc.) then you most likely have, or at least have heard, this record. If not, GET IT NOW.
 
It's Tragedy, they're legendary heavy, metal, I suck at throwing bands into genres. I dunno, fuck it if you're a fan of metal (if i could say one thing they remind me at times of eye hate god) then pick this up.
  
tragedy is one of my favorite new bands. very heavy and melodic. it reminds me a lot of his hero is gone, from ashes rise, and severed head of state. this is my favorite release of their's, although i haven't heard nerve damage yet.
   
shit, I love Tragedy so much that it is actually hard to step back and review it properly. well I really love this album (though I prefer the second one). one can really hear both the HHIG and the Deathreat influence in the music, but that's hardly surprising. Tragedy however are faster and more melodic than HHIG and more d-beat and heavy than Deathreat. the japcore influence which is very present on the second album, can't really be heard on this one which seems to be more sludge and Us HC influenced. lyrics are political and rather pessimistic, very dark. overall i'd say this a depressing yet beautiful record, very angry music, like the perfect mix between Neurosis, Deathside and HHIG.
 
this album is very good. not as good as vengeance, but close to it. definitly recommended if your into tragedy or from ashes rise.
   
tragedy's first release. fast and ripping hardcore without the cliche's of the scene bands. skip that bleeding through cd and buy this.

Amazing stuff. So aggressive, yet passionate. Fast songs, nice melodies, unique sound, great vocals. Can't wait to see Tragedy perform these songs live.
Get this disc first, and then prepare for "Vengeance"

good stuff. I'd suggest you check this out if you like his hero is gone or death threat, due to the fact that members of both bands are in this one. Throughout the album, the majority of the music isn't quite as dark as His Hero is Gone. Some of it is SLIGHTLY more upbeat, not "happy upbeat", though, just leaning more towards the hardcore side of things rather than the crustiness. The music is mainly a bit faster than most of His Hero is Gone's work was. Definitely has a sense of d-beat to it as well. Vocals are gruff, lyrics(included in the booklet) are very good, poetic. still nice and dark, but feeling a bit more hopefull. there are some cool instrumental tracks as well.
 
Members of His Hero Is Gone and Deathreat. Tragedy is not His Hero Is Gone but close. Just with more pretty guitar riffs, faster at points, slower at points, and the vocals from both singers are sweet!!! But if like HHIG you'll love Tragedy. For those of you who don't know of HHIG, they are fast, heavy, and crusty, and that goes for both the music and the vocals. "
