The narrative seeds planted in earlier episodes of The X-Files blossom memorably in the show's sixth season, providing answers to some questions while hinting at the existence of darker, as yet unsuspected truths. Back for 22 more episodes, David Duchovny (playing FBI agent Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (as agent Dana Scully) now wear their roles like comfortable sweaters, and the stars' potent chemistry strengthens their characters' emotional bonds, renewed amid shocking revelations.
