FROM THE earliest evidence of mankind in Palestine to the rise of the Christian Church, The Times Concise Atlas of the Bible places the whole of biblical history in its geographical context. Richly illustrated with over 250 dynamic maps, site reconstructions and colour photographs, it has been developed from the highly successful The Times Atlas of the Bible. The comprehensive maps and accompanying authoritative texts have been specially adapted to appeal to a wide audience.
The Atlas is edited by Professor James B. Pritchard, one of the most distinguished archaeologists and historians of religion. Professor Pritchard has drawn on the work of an international team of fifty archaeologists, linguists, historians and theologians, giving this book its authority.
Detailed biblical references accompany each subject, and the New Testament section gives a fresh account of the life and influence of Christ, and of His disciples.
The Times Concise Atlas of the Bible is a superlative reference work against which the Bible and its stories can now be fully appreciated and understood.
