An excellent book whether you are a collector or a lover of ceramics and it's history. Having been born and brought up in Stoke from early the 50's, I know where the majority of pot banks in the Potteries were. This is a brilliant book for looking at factory markings and weaving together a history. They say a person from the Potteries is easily recognised as they always turn plates, cups and saucers upside down to look at the markings and to see where they were made! There have been many editions of this excellent book from the !960's, when first published. I got one of the early copies a few weeks ago.
