Vintage 1967 Reproduction Shiang Dynasty Urn Ice Bucket Getz Legacy Collection This is a fine Shiang Dynasty reproduction, made in Taiwan circa 1967.It was given as a gift by Burt J. Siris, who was a well known international New York businessman. The gift letter from Mr. Siris is included, in which he states that a similar item was given by the President of Taiwan to President Lyndon B. Johnson's daughter.Shiang dynasty urns such as this, was used by Chinese emperors to cook meats. This reproduction was made by Getz Bros. under patent number 2078. It was sold under the company's Legacy Collections. A brochure is included which provides illustrative details about the urn, its history and modern manufacture.It is made of a heavy cast non-ferrous alloy, with a permanent antique finish. It looks and feels like fine bronze.It measures 11 inches tall to the top of the lid and is 8 inches wide. Weight is approx. 8 lbs before packaging.Fabulous find!!
