The sixth series of SMALLVILLE begins with Earth in peril, as Zod (Michael Rosenbaum)--who is inhabiting Lex Luthor's body--tries to transform the planet into a new version of Krypton. As the series progresses, an intriguing love triangle forms between Clark (Tom Welling), Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk), and Lex; a few new characters are introduced; and Lex's evil streak builds until he starts to resemble the classic character from Superman mythology.
