In the not-so-distant future, a terrible war has transformed the face of the earth and placed the women of the planet firmly under male rule. The women are largely prevented from organising a rebellion by the ever-watchful eyes of the men, but one mythical band of female freedom fighters has survived and continues to flourish. Known as 'The Sisterhood', they are united against male domination and have vowed to bring an end to the inequalities of this strange and brutal world. But the men won't give in without a fight.
