In the Introduction (p. 2) the author states that

"This book is intended to be a practical guide to language teachers who are thinking of using simulations for the first time, or who are seeking ways of improving their use of the method." Simulations in Language Teaching contains the following chapters: Why Use Simulations ? ; Choosing Simulations for the Language Classroom; Preparing for the Simulation; The Simulation in Action; The Follow-up; Will the Simulation Work?; Assessing the Result; Simulation in Teacher Training. In addition there is an appendix containing all the documents needed to run the au- thor's own simulation "We're Not Going To Use Simulations." The book ends with a bibliography and a list of journals and societies that cater for gaming and simulation enthusiasts. Simulations in Language Teaching is well-produced and attractively laid out. Every thought has been given to guiding the reader carefully through the contents
