Lattorf Hamburg DAMMTOR STR. 35 HUTSCHENREUTHER Hutschenreuther is the name of the family that established the production of porcelain in Northern Bavaria, in 1814. Hutschenreuther was a trend-setter and enabled Germany to gain an excellent reputation in the European porcelain industry. The Hutschenreuther "Mark of the Lion" is a symbol of excellence that continues to this day, though, since 2000, it is a trademark of Rosenthal. HISTORY The company was founded in 1814 by Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther (c1[zasłonięte]780-18) and based in Hohenberg an der Eger, Bavaria, Germany. Carl had previously worked at the Wallendorf porcelain manufacturing company. After his death in 1845, the factory was headed by his widow, Johanna Hutschenreuther, and her sons. From 1860, they produced gilded porcelains that were hand painted. A large part of the factory was destroyed by a fire in 1848 but it was rebuilt. C. M. HUTSCHENREUTHER, HOHENBERG/EGER In the early part of the 20th century, Hutschenreuther grew quickly by absorbing factories at Altrohlau (1909), of Carl Auvera in Arzberg (1918/1919) LORENZ HUTSCHENREUTHER, SELB Around 1856, Carl's sons Lorenz and Christian founded their own firm in Selb, a town some 17 km north of Hohenberg. Later know as Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Selb (LHS), this firm expanded and took over the Tirschenreuth porcelain factory, in 1927. HUTSCHENREUTHER AG TO ROSENTHAL TRADEMARK Since 2000 Hutschenreuther survives only as a Rosenthal trademark. The brand continues to produce porcelain and bone china ranges, including its classic ranges, the most famous of which is Blau Zwiebelmuster, a range based on the [Meissen porcelain] service of the same name. Hutschenreuther was the only officially licensed manufacturer to be allowed to mass-produce this very traditional range by Meissen in the 1930s, even though copies based on the same pattern were allowed by the German courts of law since 1926. Rosenthal AG, Hutschenreuther's owners, are a division of Italian firm Sambonet Paderno since 2009, after having been let go from Waterford Wedgwood, which fell apart in 2008 due to financial difficulty and was reborn as WWRD (Waterford Wedgwood Royal Doulton). For Hutschenreuther's porcelain collections, all of this has had little effect. However, a few ranges were sold under the Wedgwood brand in the USA, even though they were identical to Hutschenreuther ranges and produced on the same production line. The backstamp and packaging were the only difference. These ranges included Alfabia and Medley, both patterns on the Maria Theresia shape. Paul Muller’s factory was founded in 1890 and specialized in the manufacturing of porcelain tableware. The back stamp with the crown in the picture was acquired by Hutschenreuther in 1917. Between 1943 and 1957 Hutschenreuther rented this factory to “Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin” which was destroyed during the war. The history of the Hutschenreuther Company begins with the name of Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther who opened the first Bavarian decorating after some years he started to produce porcelain himself porcelain factory in the upper Frankonian region of Germany, in 1814. Nowadays, Hutschenreuther is where high standard meet international flair. Being a member of the Group Rosenthal Wedgwood Waterford it produces fine porcelain tableware for dinner, coffee and tea, gift articles and hotel porcelain. As a yardstick and premium brand name for the international art de la table, Hutschenreuther offers both stylish and fine porcelain with exclusive character, functional image and innovative product range. Gorgeous cup and saucer are entirely hand painted with pink roses and green foliage on a softly blended pastel ground. The rims have a wide band of rich, old Roman gold and the art is exceptionally well done. The porcelain is very fine and translucent. In addition to decorating white ware, Hutschenreuther wanted to produce his own patterns, and after an eight year struggle with the Bavarian Government (which was not interested in creating competition for the state-owned factory), Hutschenreuther received the necessary permission to begin production in 1822. Upon his death in 1845, his son Lorenz founded his own Hutschenreuther Porcelain Company in Selb. Son Christian and widow Johanna also worked to carry on the company tradition. In the early part of the 20th century, Hutschenreuther grew quickly by absorbing factories at Altrohlau (1909), Arzburg (1918) and Tirschenreuth (1927). The branches of the company were united in 1969. Hutschenreuther was a trend-setter and enabled Germany to gain an excellent reputation in the European china industry. The Hutschenreuther “Mark of the Lion” is a symbol of excellence that continues to this day. Hutschenreuthercollectibles- proszę wbić to internet zobaczyć ceny!!!
