Panzer Corpsto turowa gra strategiczna. Tytuł ten w zamierzeniu twórców ze studia The Lordz Games miał być duchowym spadkobiercą wydanego w 1994 rokuPanzer General.
Akcja gry toczy się, podobnie jak to miało miejsce w pierwowzorze, podczas II wojny światowej. Tym razem nie skupiono się jednak tylko na jednej nacji. Do zwycięstwa możemy poprowadzić między innymi Polskę, Włochy, Francję, Norwegię, Belgię, USA, Związek Radziecki, Wielką Brytanię i Niemcy. Nie zabrakło także bardziej "egzotycznych" krajów w rodzaju Grecji, Albanii czy Rumunii.
Nasze siły reprezentowane są przez ponad czterysta jednostek, podzielonych dodatkowo na dziewiętnaście klas. Każda z nich opisana jest przez dwadzieścia parametrów. Dodatkowym smaczkiem jest zdobywanie doświadczenia przez naszych żołnierzy, którzy wraz z pozyskanymi bonusami mogą przenieść się wraz z nami do następnej misji.
Dostępna dla pojedynczego gracza kampania składa się z dwudziestu sześciu scenariuszy, rozgrywanych na dwudziestu jeden mapach. Przygotowany teren wiernie odwzorowuje miejsca niemal wszystkich najważniejszych bitew z przeszłości. Do dyspozycji mamy ponadto kilka dodatkowych miejscówek, przygotowanych z myślą o scenariuszach z gatunku historii alternatywnej.
Kampanie podzielono na kilka okresów czasowych. Możemy wkroczyć do walki już we wrześniu 1939, ale nic nie stoi na przeszkodzie by rozpocząć grę w grudniu 1941, po ataku na Pearl Harbor. Co ciekawe, w zależności od wyniku kluczowych bitew, dalsze losy naszego wirtualnego konfliktu zbrojnego mogą potoczyć się zupełnie inaczej.
W trybie dla wielu graczy mamy dostęp jedynie do gry poprzez e-mail. Oprawa wizualna w opisywanej produkcji prezentuje poziom, do jakiego przyzwyczaiły nas inne strategie wydane przez firmę Slitherine. Mamy tu więc prostą, dwuwymiarową grafikę map, na których przemieszczamy nasze jednostki, wykonane z nieco większą precyzją.
