1995 release on Polygram's Spectrum label, the CD debut of Enya's first solo recordings after leaving Clannad, the 1985 soundtrack to the 1984 film 'The Frog Prince'. Enya performs15 of the album's 16 tracks; Edith Piaf handles the other. Enya also wrote or co-wrote 11 of her 15 tracks, many of which are instrumentals.

All right, it didn't have Enya's later ambient or Celtic style. It had more of a jazz and sometimes French style. However, it was very beautifully done! Each of these tracks by Enya and even the jazz tracks by other artists were very well done. The musical instruments played very smoothly and calmly. Enya also sang "The Frog Prince" and "Dreams" very lovely. The music was not over done and created an interesting mood. This is a very well made early work.

The Frog Prince is the title of the soundtrack album to the British motion picture of the same name, directed by Brian Gilbert and released in 1984.

In 1985 Island Visual Arts released a soundtrack album on LP (ISTA 10) and cassette (ISCA 10). Spectrum Music released on August 28, 1995 a CD (551099-2) featuring 16 tracks (distributed by PolyGram International). Though most titles were composed by Enya, only two of them ("The Frog Prince" and "Dreams") were performed by her. These two were not used in the film and thus did not appear on the original release on Island. Predating her work on her album Enya, (later re-released in 1992 as "The Celts"), by a year, these are two of Enya's earliest solo recordings. (Two songs released in 1983 on a local cassette called "Touch Travel" were earlier in 1983. Statement excludes her non-solo work with Clannad).

The album also includes performances of standards such as "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "Georgia on my Mind". Enya is not involved in these recordings.
