A desperate struggle for survival is raging deep in the heart of Borneo forest as illegal logging rapidly destroys the Bornean Orangutans last stronghold in the wild. There is practically no wilderness left for this nomadic, mostly solitary species. Time is running out for the orangutans.



But in the heart of Borneo, hope arrives in the form of Lone Droscher-Nielsen and her talented team from the Nyaru Menteng Rescue and Reintroduction Center as they transfer 35 young orphaned orangutans they raised to a protected sanctuary.



Here, on Orangutan Island, they will hone their survival skills and hopefully create a communal society.



Join the orangutans as they enter a whole new realm of real life education and watch as Lone and her team transfer Cha Cha, Saturnus, Daisy, Chen Chen and all their classmates to the island.
