Now in it's eighth year, Oliver's Almanack of World Football is the ultimate yearbook. Oliver's Almanack of World Football 2013 covers the events of 2012 across the whole globe. All 209 nations affiliated to FIFA have at least two pages with a review of the year, league tables, league results and cup brackets as well as information about international matches played. Results and tables are not just confined to the top division and there many line-ups for cup finals played across the world. The Almanack is divided into three parts. Part One covers tournaments organised by FIFA - which in 2012 included the Olympics, the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand, the FIFA U-17 and U-20 Women's World Cups along with the FIFA Club World Cup won by Corinthians. The matches are covered in detail with pitch graphics showing player positions for many of the games. Part Two, at 754 pages, is the biggest section of the Almanack and covers the football events of 2012 in all 209 FIFA member associations. It is organised alphabetically according to the FIFA trigram. Along with coverage of league, cup and international matches, each country also has a map and this year we have included a list of the top stadia for every country. For 138 of the top clubs in world football there is a match-by-match review of the games played in the league, cup and continental competitions which includes goal scorers, attendances and, for the first time, league position after each game. The third section of the Almanack covers tournaments organised by the six continental confederations. For the Copa Libertadores and the UEFA/CAF/AFC/OFC and CONCACAF Champions Leagues, there are full match details for every game played including pitch graphics for the finals. There is also a pitch graphic for every match played at the finals of UEFA Euro 2012 and the finals of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations along with details of every qualifying match in both tournaments. The 2013 edition of Oliver's Almanack of World Football is bigger than ever at 1104 pages but because we only print in hardback it is still easy to read and will stand the test of time.
