An illustrious line-up of musicians, including guitarist Rey Guerra and percussionist Emilio Del Monte Jr., joins the talented, if culturally dissimilar duo for what is a truly touching cycle.HAVANA MIDNIGHT, containing both wistful impressions of Cuban life and reflections on Neuwirth's years as a wandering folkie, has an alluringly melancholic feel to it. The title track and its companion "Havana Farewell" evoke a sultry island atmosphere (" velvet wind soft as sin against the skin") while "The Call" contrastingly recalls "all the halls we played, all the scenes we stole, all the hell we raised."
