"Hiroko", "Heathcliff", "Lesson 2", "Stupid As A Rose II" and "Power" were originally produced for "Miasma - A Butoh Opera", performed December 2, 1992 at The Margaret Greenham Theatre of The Banff Centre, Canada.
"Lession 2" is based on a 15th century prologue to "La Roman de la Rose", vox-loop: Joseph Schmidt . "Stupid As A Rose" draws on a Victorian British song, "It's The Same The Whole World Over". "Heathcliff" is inspired by Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights".
