Medical-Grade Accuracy

With its professional medical-grade sensors and patented structure, RestOn accurately measures sleep time, heart rate, respiratory rate, body movement and sleep cycles.

A person's heart rate is the number of times the heart beats per minute. During a state of sleep, the normal resting heart rate for an adult male is about 50-70 beats/min for males and 60-70 beats/min for females. For elderly persons it is lower. Regular exercise can slow the heart rate down. An abnormal heart rate may indicate some health problems.

The respiratory rate is based on the number of times you breath per minute. While the average respiratory rate for an adult while stationary is approximately 12-20 times/min, the respiratory rate will decrease during sleep. The important focal aspects of breathing include a slow respiratory rate, unexpected waking and snoring etc.

A complete sleep cycle can be divided into four stages: light sleep, deep sleep, intermediary sleep and waking. During sleep, approximately 4 to 6 cycles of light sleep to deep sleep and back to light sleep again are repeated.
