"“Le Murmure de l'Orient” immerses us in a deep, quiet and inside universe. A purely contemplative music around one musical instrument, the bansuri (a flute from North India).

Jazz saxophonist and world music passionate, Manuel Hermia fell in love with the bansuri while traveling in India ; the compositions he's offering here are all based on indian ragas but follow a personal orientation.

The flute finds its freedom playing few notes, returning to the essence of things, to the core of the sound. Music takes its time, once again. A booklet with pictures and texts accompanies the journey in sound and acts as an acho to the inwardness the journey evokes."
