Power Amplifier M-06 55 Watts class "A" stereo power amplifier. 220 Watts in  bridged mode. analogue and digital sections, digital noise interfering with the audio circuitry can be avoided. Noise interference between the input and output stages is also sought minimized by providing separate windings for these sections. Construction The construction of the M-06 has some resemblance with the integrated L-500 series. Transformer and filter capasitors are located at the front. The output stage is attached to a heatpipe cooling system located at the rear of the amplifier. Like other power amplifiers from Lux, the input level to the amplifier can be adjusted. For this purpose, the M-06 features two new fixed-resistor attenuators to control the input level. The top case cover is made of solid wood and rosewood veneer, thus giving the M-06 the same appearance as other models within the Alpine series. Digital Peak Power Meters The M-06 displays peak power levels using two digital displays, that provide accurate level readings down to tenths of a watt. The update response time of the display can be changed between three different intervals and Peak Hold. The intervals are 1, 3 and 5 seconds whereas the Peak hold option stores the highest output level encountered up to the present point. Impedance of the load is also shown in the display. It can be changed between 4, 6 and 8Ω. The brightness of the meter can be adjusted with the dimmer switch in three stages. Moreover, it is possible to turn off the power supply of the display and to separate it from the signal completely.
