About the Author
The original author of At the Mountains of Madness. Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1[zasłonięte]890-19) was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. A child prodigy, Lovecraft developed an early interest in chemistry and astronomy, although his sickly disposition and a history of night terrors prevented him from completing his schooling. Periods of nervous breakdown and depression followed, contributing to the cynical and unsettling world view displayed in his writing. Initially a poet and prodigious letter writer, Lovecraft started writing fiction in his twenties. Although his work was not widely read during his lifetime, Lovecraft is now recognised as one of the 20th century’s most influential writers of the macabre.
Dan Lockwood is a freelance editor and writer, who studied Sanskrit and Greek at the University of Edinburgh before starting work in publishing. He is a huge fan of horror and science-fiction on the page and screen. For SelfMadeHero, Dan has previously edited The Trial and The Master and Margarita. He lives and works in north London. He is editor and a contributor to the Lovecraft Anthology series for SelfMadeHero.
Jamie Delano is a legendary British comics writer. He is best known as the first writer for the critically acclaimed Hellblazer (DC's Vertigo line) starring John Constantine. During an illustrious career, Delano, at the request of Alan Moore, developed Constantine's character in Moore's Swamp Thing run. Delano collaborated with artist Steve Pugh on Poe's short The Pit and the Pendulum for SelfMadeHero.
Steve Pugh is a British comic artist and writer of some twenty years experience. He has worked for DC Comics, Marvel, Dark Horse and 2000AD. He is probably best known for working with Jaime Delano (Animal Man, Hellblazer) and Garth Ennis (Preacher: Saint of Killers).
