Listening and Speaking

The scientific process is how scientists find answers: they collect data, form hypotheses, conduct experiments and make conclusions.

Children develop map skills by reading and drawing maps of familiar places and then using maps to locate places, measure distances, and compare regions.

Physical and Human Environment

Young children are introduced to social studies "me first" and gradually expand to learning about others. First, they learn about their neighborhood, and then their larger community. Then they learn about their own culture, and finally the cultures of others.
