The Edge has a pedigree unsurpassed by any other performance kite to date. Known not only as a race winner but also for its amazing free ride performance and big air capabilities.

The development process of the Edge has been ongoing over the seasons with many prototypes, new ideas, and continuous learning for the design team. What we found during this process is the combination of parameters that define the Edge are incredibly well matched to deliver performance across a broad spectrum. For Freeriders it’s the way the Edge progressively pulls offering amazing power delivery and generous boost when you send it. For racers this is directly translated into up and downwind performance as well as speed and power.

The latest Edge has been completely re-shaped in our new highly advanced custom built CAD software. What this means is we are able to work with parameters specifically designed to shaping flexible wings. We have optimised panel layout and strut position resulting in a cleaner profile and canopy throughout angle of attack changes. The new Edge feels and flies much smoother and is more controlled and stable during loaded riding and at high speeds. Additionally the optimised strut placement allows the wingtip to flex which reduces steering forces and speeds up handling.

The new Edge is constructed with quality proven Teijin D2 canopy material and Teijin Dacron providing a crisper feel and a stronger kite. A low-drag pulley-less bridle system is achieved through optimised load distribution into the kite attachment points. The bridles are spliced using high quality Aramid line, which is 50% thinner than our standard bridle line giving the Edge a turbo charged feel. Combined with our Race Control System and Race Flying Lines the Edge is the race winning ticket.

For this season we have developed new sizes expanding on the smaller kite range specially for lighter riders or Foil board racing. With new a 5m, 6m and 8m added to the already broad line-up of sizes this allows riders to choose exactly what they need in a regatta or for freeride mega boosting on those high wind days.

We have continued to develop larger Edge sizes as the Chrono is not for everyone or for all conditions. In gusty or turbulent wind the Edge will be easier to use and handle in both free ride and race situations. We recommend that all intermediate riders use the Edge before considering moving to a Chrono for light wind racing or free riding.

The Contact-Water Control System offers the latest in safety features, a clean

control bar design and a simple easy-to-use trimming system.

Push Away Quick Release – The control system features a new Megatron pushaway

quick release safety with total flag out of the kite. The release handle is ergonomic

with positive release forces (under 8kg) allowing for quick and easy release. Simple

re-assembly saves time and gets you back up and riding faster.

Two Safety Modes – The Megatron offers riders a choice of two safety modes,

the recommended standard safety or the optional Suicide safety.
• The standard Flag out safety offers 100% flag out in all situations by releasing the

Megatron or letting go of the bar when un-hooked
• The Suicide option offers 100% flag out only when the Megatron is released whilst

hooked in, allowing riders practicing handle passes to let go of the bar with out flagging

the kites safety (not recommended)

Anti-twist 100% Flag Out Line – The flag out line running through the

Megatron & safety leash attachment at the bottom keeps the leash tangle

free when doing rotations and manually unwinding the centre lines using the

Spinning Handle.

Low Friction Centre Piece – The control bar features a low friction aluminum

centre piece designed to reduce trim line wear.

Auto Positioning Chicken Loop – Designed in conjunction with the bar centre

piece, the Megatron spinning handle allows chicken loop auto positioning, offering

easy unhooked riding and hooking back in.

Magnetic trim handle system – The Magnetic trim handle connects

to a magnetic neoprene sock covering the clam cleat to reduce tangles when

the trimmer is depowered.

PU Covered trim line & cast stainless steel de-power ring – The tough

PU covered trim significantly reduces wear when sheeting in and out, whilst

the smooth running de-power ring also prevents trim line wear.

The Contact-Water Control System bar sizes come in 45cm, 50cm

and 55cm. The larger size PU chicken loop (sold separately) is perfect

for riders with longer arms or for riders wanting even easier hooking in & out.

Over time kite flying lines may stretch slightly, and we highly recommend that you

check your Control System lines are set correctly to what we call “bar zero”.
