Opis:
Late 19th Century life in the small Oxfordshire hamlet, Lark Rise, and its neighboring market town, Candleford, continues to throw up secrets, confrontations and romance in a heart-warming second series that includes a feature-length Christmas special and 11 new episodes.
Rich, enterprising and worldly, one-time Lark Rise boy James Dowland arrives from London intending to put Candleford on the map. However, it isn't long before he is sparring with the spirited, yet suddenly flustered, Dorcas and stirring up emotions among the Lark Rise tenants.
Candleford's post office is still at the centre of many of the town's stories with the arrival of a hapless new maid, Minnie, Head Postman Thomas Brown's obstacle-strewn courtship of Miss Ellison and Laura's confused feelings for the clock maker, Fisher Bloom.
