Lady is the new collaborative project by Terri Walker and Nicole Wray. This unexpected transatlantic pairing was born out of a shared love of soul music and the resulting album also entitled Lady is a modern day interpretation of the classic sounds pioneered by labels such as Stax, Atlantic and Motown. Leon Michels and Jeff Silverman, better known as Truth & Soul, are behind the production. The multi-talented duo s credits include writing for Adele, production for Lee Fields & The Expressions and both writing and production on Aloe Blacc s Good Things album and its worldwide hit single, I Need A Dollar. Terri Walker has collaborated with the likes of Mos Def and T.Williams, been nominated for the Mercury Prize and is hailed by some as Britain s answer to US stars such as Jill Scott or Mary J Blige. Nicole Wray was discovered by Missy Elliott at 17, she s also worked with Angel Haze, Q-Tip and is a frequent contributor to The Black Keys records. In uniting as Lady, and with Truth & Soul s backing, Walker and Wray have been liberated to make a timeless record dear to their hearts
