QUINTESSENTIAL ENGLISH progressive singer songwriter and one of the few artists signed to ELP's Manticore label. Christmas had worked up a solid reputation with some well received albums such as 'Fable Of The Wings' and 'Pigmy' and had toured extensively with a number of headline acts such as King Crimson, Ten Years After, Roxy Music, Hawkwind and the Who. 'Brighter Day' is another solid studio outing ably assisted by a number of great guest musicians including Ian Wallace, Alan Spenner, Neil Hubbard, Mel Collins and Ian McDonald. Look out, not unexpectedly, for production chops by Pete Sinfield and Greg Lake. Music is a splendid combination of folk and beautifully executed progressive rock - really a great vibe.
