Opis albumu |
Honour Simplicity, Respect the Flow is Kai's debut album. This highly acclaimed bassist has featured on many albums during his musical career accompanying artists such as John McLaughlin, Trilok Gurtu, Randy Brecker, Ralph Towner and many others.
We met Kai when he played bass on Antonio Forcione's Ghetto Paradise [Naim CD032]. We were so impressed that we asked him to do a whole album for us! Kai has written the album himself with the exception of two tracks which were written by drummer Sean Rickman and keyboard player Aydin Esen, another testament to the consistently high calibre of musicians that we record. Honour Simplicity, Respect the Flow also features a whole host of other exciting musicians including Courtney Pine and Zakir Hussain.
Kai began to study the bass guitar aged 15, and went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was at this time that he began the first of many international tours, and his special talent received the worldwide recognition that it deserves.
The CD was recorded by Ken Christianson and Peter Williams, who worked together in order to share the best of their expertise.
