This year's Classical Brits will see legendary tenor, José Carreras, receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and to commemorate this, Warner Classics & Jazz are releasing a special 2CD set, entitled 'The José Carreras Collection'.

We've teamed up with the label to offer five copies of this set to readers of MusicalCriticism.com.

Globally renowned as one of the mighty 'Three Tenors', alongside the late Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo, José Carreras' meteoric musical career began with early debuts at the world's most prestigious opera houses and festivals. 14 May will mark the celebration of his outstanding contribution to the music industry, when Carreras collects his Classical Brit Award.

Carreras has performed in over 60 operas, including a number of operatic films, and his extensive discography stretches to over 150 recordings. Special guests on 'The José Carreras Collection', include fellow tenor Plácido Domingo and sopranos Barbara Frittoli, Barbara Hendricks and Eva Lind.

Out in time for Mother's Day (22 March), this fantastic collection from Warner Classics & Jazz brings together Neapolitan classics such as Torna a Surriento, Granada and Santa Lucia, with the ardent romance of 'O soave fanciulla' from Puccini's La Bohème, and tracks like Moon River, and The Way We Were, proving that there is a little bit of Carreras for everyone on this exciting 2 CD set.
