SOBIESKA MARIA CLEMENTINA: (1[zasłonięte]702-17) Polish Noblewoman, wife of James Francis Edward Stuart, The Old Pretender. Rare A.L.S., Clementine R, one page, 8vo, Dallbano (?), 25th June 1720, [to Lady Dillon], in French. Clementina states that she is very touched by the kind compliments her correspondent has sent her via Mr. Glasgo and continues 'Believe me that I am very much looking forward to being able to make your acquaintance personally, and discovering the qualities which the King has often spoken of. I am also looking forward to meeting General Dillon.' With blank integral leaf. Autograph letters of Clementina are rare following her early death at the age of 32. Some very light, extremely minor age wear, VG
