Across the Waters is a chance to listen to some of the finest talents in Irish music that the UK has to offer. Many of the artists featured on this disc, particularly the younger ones, enjoy healthy solo careers. On this disc are some superb performances to be heard where the older traditions of playing meet head-on with what is new and more radical. The majority of the players have been performing for many years and have carved their marks in a very long tradition of Irish music. Whether young or old, on fiddle, accordion or banjo, they all make a wondrous noise that should not be missed.
