Barefoot running is very different to running in a very cushioned pair of trainers and these shoes try to replicate that experience. When using these shoes you will find that you run on your toes the whole time which uses very different muscles and if you haven't used them before you will find they really use your calf muscles alot.
Because of this it is suggested that you start training by doing a very small mileage in them and building it up week by week.
The shoes are extremely lightweight and low profile, helping to make you faster.
