Remasterowane wznowienie albumu Marvina Gaye'a z 1976 roku w wersji deluxe. Płyta "I Want You" jest dowodem na wszechstronność talentu jednego z najważniejszych twórców muzyki soul i r'n'b. Gaye zwrócił tym razem w stronę muzyki disco i funk. Głównymi twórcami repertuaru byli Leon Ware oraz brat Diany Ross, Arthur "T-Ware" Ross, którzy zaproponowali kompozycje gładsze brzmieniowo, ale niezwykle świeże i nowoczesne. Płyta przyniosła dwa przebojowe single - tytułowe "I Want You" oraz "After The Dance", osiągając milionowy nakład. Był to piąty numer 1 artysty na liście Soul Albums magazynu Billboard. W chwili debiutu przyjęta chłodno przez krytykę, okazała się jednym z najbardziej wpływowych albumów czarnej muzyki, na który powoływali się tak różni artyści jak Todd Rundgren, Robert Palmer, Madonna, Mary J. Blige, D'Angelo, Maxwell, R.Kelly, Prince czy Sade. Wersja Deluxe została wzbogacona o nagrania z singli oraz dodatkową płytę z utworami z sesji "I Want You".
