Hailing from the Washington DC area, Horror of Horrors is a band with bloodlines deeply entrenched in the important and fertile US east coast scene that defines classic American death metal.
Noting it's birth in the pivotal 90s era of the death metal movement, Horror of Horrors represent the blood-soaked golden past, the ferocious present and the prime throne of the extreme metal future.
The band formed in 1994 from the ashes of Neftuwitch and the legendary Exmortis. Between ‘94 and ‘97 they released three albums, a split 7’’ single with Judecca and contributed to several compilation and internationally distributed tribute CDs as well.
Since their 1994 debut Sounds of Eerie, 1997's Fangs, Braking the Skin and then later Blood of the Suspicious, Horror of Horrors has achieved a cult-like status through out the underground metal community.
Having shared the stage countless times with the genre's best and most notable artists, they have earned themselves a reputation as an explosive live act to be experienced
Original founding members are Aantar Lee Coates, Michael Marchewka, H.M. Lopez and Buddy Buell.
This release truly encapsulates the band's classic past as well as an exciting preview of the band's upcoming material that is sure to deliver high-caliber death metal true to it's purist and uncompromising form.
Included are two brand-new never released songs from the upcoming album titled Rust, Flesh & Dust.
Recorded at Erik Rutan's Mana Studios in FL, this incarnation of the band showcases the guitar assault of Kelly McLauchlin (Pessimist/Angelcorpse/Diabolic) and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus/Daath/Misery Index/Chimaira).
