Along with the Film for which it was a soundtrack this CD follows Fred's work through improvising, group exposition and directed composition (so there is a soundtrack in the film and a soundtrack to the film - both intermingled). This is as broad in musical scope as it is excellently realised and neatly assembled, adding up to a sketch of Fred's many musical identities.
