FARSCAPE- For Those Who Love to Kill to coś dla maniaków starego dobrego KREATOR bardzo energetyczny oldschool thrash metal POLECAM!!!!!!

This CD came to me via our headquarters without booklet, without any promo information, without a band name, without titles and without the mentioning of a label. But our all knowing Ueberlord Horst had some advice for me and with his help and via some research done on the internet I found out that I was dealing with the Brazilian thrashers from Farscape and their album ‘For Those Who Love To Kill’, and this is a re-release by No Colours Records.

Via the MySpace page from the band I also read that a couple of die hard fans are very happy about this re-release. But do I share this point of view? Well, not really. I have to admit that this album does have its moments and it also has a certain charm. With the use of a little imagination it is even fair to say that ‘For Those Who Love To Kill’ sounds like a very old Destruction or Kreator demo. The songs, those vocals, the poor production, it all sounds familiar, but that’s it. These thirteen Farscape tracks lack a lot of quality compared to the stuff from the more known thrash bands. The song writing is not original enough and the performance is sometimes a bit too sloppy, it’s not always tight enough. Just listen to the three live songs that form track number thirteen on the CD and you will get the idea. On the one hand it is cool that Farscape chooses to cover a rather unknown Kreator song like ‘Bonebreaker’, but on the other hand it must be said that after this one the performance decreases a bit. In the end my conclusion is that ‘For Those Who Love To Kill’ is an album that can please the fanatics amongst us, but it is definitely not a must have.
