Adam Hay-Nicholls is the Formula One correspondent for Metro and test driver for Asia Tatler. He likes motor racing, but he’s really there for the free food and parties, which he covers in his blog f1socialdiary.com. He’s also known throughout the paddock as the ‘King of Blags’ because there’s nothing he can’t get gratis. One of the better blags was borrowing Fernando Alonso’s F1 car for a couple of laps. He also once scored a round-the-world flight on a private jet, pit-stopping in 10 different countries in a record time of 57 hours 54 minutes. From Wiltshire originally, he’s lived in Paris since 2004 and is an occasional contributor to Vogue, Intersection and Condé Nast Traveller.
