DOXA (meaning `GLORY') is an 18-week discipleship course which
can be done as a whole or in sections, for example as a Lent Course or
short three week Advent series.
DOXA is not about teaching doctrine, rather, it invites participants to
reflect upon how God is forming their discipleship as they worship. Each
week focuses on a particular aspect of the Common Worship Eucharist.
Sessions include prayer time, a reflection on liturgical practice,
exploration of a Bible passage and a challenge task to work on for the next
session. There are also `Share Spots', contributions from a variety of
writers which expand on the themes of each session, and `Ponder Points'
giving participants time to reflect upon their understanding of
discipleship.
Complete with clear instructions and notes for facilitators, DOXA offers a
new and different way of exploring discipleship.
