Righty-ho…some Swedish harsh black industrial crust noise for you to lose your minds to! It’s a distinctly “analogue” sounding album, not in the least ‘synthetic’ or artificial, in fact it’s almost grimy and seedy in a “red light” area, if Hell had such a thing, kind of way… dark, dank, feculent, menacing, with a very real undercurrent of violence forever hanging in the pungent fetid air. Then the violence explodes graphically in front of your shell-shocked senses!

Daniel Jansson (he of Deadwood infamy) is a part of this feral underworld project, teaming up with Magnus Moilala – strangely enough (or not) they are also both members of experimental Gothenburg ensemble Keplers Odd, so it’s genuinely the most natural of pairings… and in this separate entity, they make the most terrifying and downright scary blackened noise. I imagine in the ‘live’ environs this must be aurally devastating and a true mindfuck.

To be truthful I succinctly told you what this sounds like in the very first line, but I couldn’t do it justice in a single sentence. I can’t think of any other outfit who successfully fused so many of the genres of extreme music that I love to such magnificent malignancy… this is a potent and gut-wrenching album. Reams of feedback, blasts of blackened noise, hellish crust atmospherics; it’s a magnificent accomplishment. I can put my hand on my heart and tell you I never tire of this album, and that is a rare thing indeed.
