Credit management lies at the heart of every business, and in today's economic climate assessing credit risk and ensuring that customers pay on time can make the difference between prosperity and disaster. Formulating policy, planning cash collection, organizing and managing the required resources - every element is vital, and Credit Management Handbook provides a complete guide to what is involved.

The book first appeared in 1976 and has been recognized ever since as the standard work in its field. For this third edition the text has been revised to reflect recent developments, including the changes in insolvency law, the revolution in microcomputer technology, the implications of the European Single Market, the effects of high-interest rates and the spectacular growth in credit card facilities.

The Handbook contains contributions from no fewer than twenty-three authors, each of them an acknowledged expert on a particular aspect of credit management. The result is the most comprehensive single volume on the subject now available. As an aid for the manager seeking to improve cash flow and profitability it is unrivalled. It will also serve as a resource for the student and a reference work for senior executives and academics.
