Duet wszech czasów Simon & Garfunkel świętuje 40-stą rocznicę ukazania się ich najwybitniejszego dzieła - albumu "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Wydawnictwo to ukazuje się w trzech wyjątkowych formatach: 2CD+DVD, 2CD oraz CD+DVD.

Artyści spędzili w ciągu dwóch lat na nagraniach do swojego ostatniego, studyjnego albumu ponad 800 godzin. Album "Bridge Over Troubled Water" zdobył aż pięć nagród Grammy między innymi dla: Płyty Roku, Piosenki Roku czy Najlepszego Wokalisty. Ale album ten oznaczał również koniec wspólnej drogi (na co najmniej na kilka lat) dla duetu, który nagrywał razem od końca lat pięćdziesiątych.
Cztery single z płyty święciły triumfy:
"The Boxer" (wydany w kwietniu 1969 roku - Lista Billboard Hot 100 miejsce 7, 10 tygodni na liście);
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" (wydany w styczniu 1970 roku - Lista Billboard Hot 100 miejsce 1 (przez 6 tygodni !! ).
"Cecilia" (wydany w kwietnia 1970 roku - Lista Billboard Hot 100 miejsce 4, 13 tygodni na liście).
"El Condor Pasa (If I Could)" (wydany we wrześniu 1970 - Lista Billboard Hot 100 miejsce 18, 11 tygodni na liście).
Album "Bridge Over Troubled Water", który ukazał się 26 stycznia 1970 roku, spędził 10 tygodni na 1miejscu Listy Billboard, przez 85 tygodni nie zniknął z tej listy i otrzymał 8-krotną platynę.
Na rozdaniu Brit Awards w 1977 roku "Bridge Over Troubled Water" został uznany za najlepszy album ostatnich 25 lat!
