BATTLELUST to przedstawiciel Szweckiej Sceny Black Tracklista 1. Armageddon Arrives 2. Retrobution 3. Angelfire 4. Forever Laid in Chains 5. The Sword of Death 6. Darkened Descendants 7. Of Battle and Ancient Warcraft 8. The Dawn of the Black Hearts 9. With the Blackstorms I Came 10. Snow and Ice and Demonmight I'll start with the truth, I bought this CD on impulse. I mean the cover and song titles looked cool enough and it was at a low, low price(ONE CENT NEW!!!), so I figured why the hell not. I didn't really think about it until after I had ordered the CD. So, naturally I got a little curious, I searched around the internet looking for some info on these guys; well truth be told the only info I had found was that this was the only CD they ever made. So, I knew virtually nothing about this band or this CD other than that was the only one that they made and that it looked cool. A few days later the CD arrived and I anxiously ripped the packaging apart and put it into my PS3. Well, I learned two things at that moment. 1.) This was a Black Metal album. 2.) It wasn't half bad. The lyrics to the songs seemed okay they were set into a fantasy world, but they suffered from the boring and repetitive "I hate God" theme that seems to plague alot of bands in this genre. But, I'm mostly in it for the music so heres my opinion of that. Basically it sounds like your average black metal release, it doesn't really do anything awe-inspiring or too exiting. Although on the last couple of songs they include a cool acustic (damn I really can't spell) passage thats really adds to song by injecting a level of melody to it. Well all in all its an okay CD its not greatest thing in the world, but, 1.) its cheap as hell, and 2.) it sounds pretty cool.
