The filmmaking is often visceral, yet the extended format allows the ensemble cast to grow, and the sacrifices of these heroic soldiers become palpable. The vivid drama doesn't let up in the extras here, as tales of struggle and redemption abound in "We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company" -- the best of the DVD's multiple documentaries.
