Children's animation series focussing on one boy's destiny to save a previous world age. Long ago, the world was divided into four powers, each represented by the four elements: Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, Air Nomads, and the Water Tribe. When the Fire Nation set out on a path of world domination, the only hope remaining lay with the Avatar, the 'chosen one', destined to control, or bend, the power of the combined elements. But in their hour of need the Avatar disappears, trapped in ice for 100 years. Now, just as the Fire Nation is about to finally triumph, the Avatar, in the shape of a twelve-year-old boy named Aang, is discovered. With time running out, he must quickly harness the elements once more and prevent a Fire Nation victory.
