That series, Amazing Stories, ran from September 28, 1985 through May 15, 1987. Though the stories in this sci-fi/fantasy anthology ran hot and cold, all had the advantage of solid celebrity casts and an all-star lineup of directors, including Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorcese, Danny DeVito and, of course, Spielberg himself.
