By purchasing a Founder's Base Package version of the game, you are not only helping us to make the game better, you are also supporting our development efforts. And of course we want to give you something in return.
Once we launch the game, the fair-to-play payment model will be similar to League of Legends or DotA, so you can acquire new heroes and skins, as well as ships. As a Founder's Base Package member you will automatically receive our special package during development or on full launch containing:

THE WORLD OF ÆTHERPUNK

So what's this Ætherpunk setting we are talking about? It is a fresh take on alternate timelines in the tradition of Steampunk and Dieselpunk...just packing a bit more Oomph!


Æther
It's the power that ties our universe together, the carrier of light, the divine substance. For the ancient Greeks it was the Fifth Element and called Akasha by the Hindus. Medieval Alchemists called it quintessence and sought in vain to distil it. Centuries passed before man was finally able to travel skyward, where he found traces of Æther in the stratosphere. Powered by the incredible force found in the tiniest of Æther drops, Earth’s nations built immense flying fortresses and deadly warships, battling for control of Æther extractors in the sky.
Three decades of war devastated our world, leaving nations in ruins. In the wake of the havoc wrought by the Æther Wars, humanity founded the United Nations in order to end the long strife. Control of the remaining Æther extractors passed to the UN, which was tasked with determining ownership. Ingenuously, the UN invented The Games, where the best and brightest battled in arenas atop the very Æther extractors they sought to control. Victory was sweet, but short -- for after a season, The Games would commence again.
