Painting with Architecture in Mind, brings together leading and up and coming authors who address the question of painting in relation to its architectural frame or spaces of display. They consider ways in which thinking about painting (its modes of expression and forms of expansion) challenges the architecturalised environment. Essays include writing on Henri Matisse, Michael Majerus, Gerwald Rockenshaub, Fred Sandback, Lawrence Weiner, Thomas Scheibitz, Remy Zaugg and others. The volume is edited by Ed Whittaker and Alex Landrum and includes an insert especially designed for the book by Brad Lochore.
