John Andrews is the fourth child of an Anglo-Irish army family with severe religious hang-ups. Until its demise he was the marketing manager of the nefarious Creation Records, home of Oasis, Primal Scream and others. He lived the lifestyle of a young, go-getting record executive for 13 years without a break. The death of his father in 1992 had a profound affect on him. At the time he did not think there was anything left unsaid between them, but as the years progressed he realised that there was something left undone. He began a subconscious search for these abandoned threads. In that year he began to fish again. This text describes his search to come to terms with the loss of his father, taking the reader on his personal odyssey, with travels in Skye, Dublin and Cuba. He examines the redemptive powers of tranquility and joys of fishing.
